"Custom Quilts by Jessica" is an independently owned and operated business, run by me, Jessica Jordan. The idea behind this site is to offer a service for those who can't make their own quilts or patterns, or those that just don't have the time.
What I offer you is the chance to help create a beautiful quilt by supplying the photo or idea of the image you desire in the quilt, and approving the final design before the quilt is actually made. This makes the final product more personal than say, just picking one up at a craft show.
The method I use to create my designs is one I learned from Master Quilter Ruth B. McDowell. She has been truly inspirational to me and I appreciate her help and encouragement more than I can say.
I create many different kinds of quilts including baby quilts, wall quilts, photo quilts and bed quilts, all custom made depending on what you want. If you are looking for something specific but don't see it on my site, don't be afraid to ask. I can quilt anything you need using the colors and "theme" you'd like.
I also offer a pattern service which allows you to request a quilt block containing your desired image. I make up the pattern and send it to you via email after your purchase has gone through. This is very helpful for those who love to do their own quilting but who might need a little help with creating the pattern wanted.
If you are ordering a quilt that you've seen on the site, it is important to remember that the fabrics used may alter slightly, depending on availability. Substitutions will be made if necessary, within the same color family.
When you purchase a custom made quilt you are purchasing a family heirloom. It may cost a little more initially, but the quality ensures that it will last your lifetime, and your childrens' lifetimes - depending on just how well loved it becomes, of course!
